College Football Hall of Fame Legacy Brick Revealed to Recipient after 12 Years

Twelve years after its purchase, a Legacy Brick at the College Football Hall of Fame was revealed to Thomas Lawhorne IV, grandson of former Georgia Bulldog linebacker and Co-Captain of the ‘67 team, Thomas Lawhorne II.

Bought in 2012 to commemorate the birth of the fourth generation son, the family chose to engrave the brick with “Happy 12th Birthday, Thomas” and keep its existence a secret until it 11/16/2024, when the family revealed the artifact to the child.

The Hall of Fame provided a guided tour of the venue and its AI-enhanced exhibits to the Lawhorne family, and made sure Thomas IV found his grandfather’s bio in the Hall of Fame Rotunda, where all inductees are forever immortalized.
