The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame Wins The Big Game in Atlanta

The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame is reveling in the successes experienced during the week leading up to the big game. From hosting some the hottest events, to high-profile media coverage and even trending on Twitter, the Hall of Fame shined bright in the sports and entertainment world.

 

The College Football Hall of Fame was one of the most sought-after venues and the weekend was packed with unique events, both public and private, including:

 

The Lombardi Foundation’s annual Leaders for a Cure luncheon on Thursday afternoon, which honors locals in the host city who are furthing advancements in cancer research and compassionate care. Atlanta honorees included Falcons QB, Matt Ryan.

 

Thursday evening, the New England Patriots welcomed over 1,500 fans, employees, players, families, coaches and partners with a kickoff party at the Hall.

 

Festivities at the Hall continued on Friday with the inaugural 1st and Goal Comedy Bowl featuring Cedric the Entertainer, Michael Blackson, DC Yung Fly and Deon Cole. Celebrity comedians in attendance included Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx and Lil Duval.

 

Saturday morning kicked off with a special movie screening in our Game Day Theater.  Tim Tebow and brother Robbie debuted their new film, Run the Race, to family and friends. Released in theaters nationwide in February, the movie features an appearance by fellow Heisman Trophy winner and College Football Hall of Famer, Eddie George.

 

The annual celebrity-packed Fanatics Super Bowl Party landed at the Hall this year.  Cardi B and Meek Mel performed in front of a crowd that included Bon Jovi, Peyton Manning, Jerome Bettis, Aaron Judge and Dez Bryant.

 

Saturday was capped off with one of the most anticipated events of the weekend, Sports Illustrated’s Saturday Night Lights, featuring performances by Snoop Dog and Lil Wayne. The star-studded red carpet included Cari Champion, Jonathan Cheban, Da Brat and Pastor Troy.

 

The amazing weekend concluded Sunday with ESPN’s “The Tailgate, ” their annual pre-game event. Famous guests including Steven A. Smith, Chris Berman, Shaqueem and Shaquill Griffin and Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo enjoyed the pregame celebration and the Hall’s one-of-a kind experience right up to game time.

 

In addition to the incredible event success, the Hall of Fame garnered over 260 million media impressions with features on Good Morning America, ESPN and CBS Sports and coverage in hundreds of local TV, print and online publications.  The media wins extended to social as well, producing over 5 million impressions and even trending on Twitter.

 

The Hall’s celebration of the Big Game also included a highly lauded special exhibit, Super Bowl Stories: The College Connection, in partnership with the Atlanta Host Committee. The exhibit features artifacts and memorabilia from legendary players and coaches who played in past Super Bowls.
