Bio

Due to World War I, Princeton only played five games in a two year period. In 1919 the team returned to a normal schedule and saw the emergence of Stan Keck. He played both tackle and guard and was a two-time consensus All-America choice in 1920 and 1921. The 1920 team was undefeated. Keck was everything a coach could ask for in a lineman - big, quick, and powerful. He received the Samuel Reid Memorial Scholarship, awarded in honor of a man who was president of the Princeton class of 1906 and was killed in 1918 in World War I. The scholarship is awarded for "the quality of leadership." Later he was assistant coach at Norwich and Princeton and director of athletics at Waynesburg.
