Atlanta (November 4, 2020) — The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame is proud to celebrate this Veterans Day which is presented by the United States Air Force. All guests who visit the Hall November 13-15 will receive a poppy flower in remberance of all who have served our country.
The Hall of Fame has a rich military history and beginning in 2015, has opened its doors for free to all active duty and veteran members of the military every day. Family members also receive a special admission rate.
Founded in 1951 by General Douglas MacArthur, legendary Army coach Earl “Red” Blaik and renowned journalist Grantland Rice, the College Football Hall of Fame recognizes the sacrifices of all military members, past and present, and honors its current team members who served. In the past year, the Hall of Fame has welcomed nearly 5,000 military guests and their families.
“We are proud to do our part in honoring the men and women who have honorably served oru country,” said Kimberly Beaudin, CEO of the Hall of Fame. “We have many veterans enshrined here at the Hall for their accomplishments on the field, however it is their service that far outweighs their impressive college football careers. ”
