Maxwell Football Awards Move to the College Hall of Fame in Atlanta

Maxwell Football Club Executive Director Mark Wolpert announced that the 87th Maxwell Awards will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta Georgia. This will be the first time in the Club’s history that the awards event will be hosted outside of the Philadelphia region having been in the city of Philadelphia for 64 years followed by a 22-year run in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The College Football Hall of Fame is no stranger to national functions of this type, having hosted marquee events like the ESPN College Football Awards, SEC Media Days and other football related functions. The facility provides a modern location with amenities and ample hotel space which will make for a fantastic event for guests.

The Club has announced that Michael Penix Jr. (Washington) -Maxwell Award (College Player of the Year), Payton Wilson (NC State) - Chuck Bednarik Award (College Defensive Player of the Year) and Caleb Downs (Alabama) Shaun Alexander Award (Freshman of the Year) will be honored on March 8th in Atlanta along with other award winners from college and professional football that will be announced in upcoming weeks.
