Bio

Tim Green of Syracuse excelled on the field and in the classroom. He was a three-time All-East selection and in 1985 he was selected as a unanimous All-America. He received a National Football Foundation Scholarship for academic excellence. As a defensive tackle, he sacked quarterbacks and stopped runners. He set three Syracuse records for most sacks: 45.5 in a career, 15 in one season, 4 in one game. He had 343 tackles in his career. In 1985 he was Syracuse co-captain and was named Co-player of the Year in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). He graduated in 1986 with a major in English. Green played for the Atlanta Falcons in 1986-93. He obtained a law degree in 1994 and practiced as an attorney, then added a career as a broadcaster.
